AeroScout T2 Tags

The Market Leading Wi-Fi-based Active RFID Tags.

The AeroScout T2 Tag is the industry’s leading Wi-Fi-based Active RFID tag, with more units deployed than any other Tag of its kind. The T2 Tag has the proven its usability, dependability, scalability and flexibility in the market with in a wide variety of industries and applications. With its long battery life, convenient small size, built-in choke-point capabilities, telemetry functionality and more, the T2 Tag is ideal for more than just location and asset tracking, but an overall Real-Time Visibility Solution that can handle high volumes of data across the widest range of industries.

Long Battery Life and Status Alerts:

The T2 Tag uses a standard ½ size AA battery that provides up to 4 years of battery life with capabilities to report on the battery level with alerts when low, and a built-in motion sensor to conserve battery life while inactive.

Flexible Mounting and Usage Options:

Multiple mounting options are available for the T2 tag, including screw-fixed mounts, adhesive mounts, snap-on clips, vehicle hangers, fixed and removable trailer mounts and more. This enabled the use of the tag on a wide array of asset in various environments.

The T2 Tag has an optional call button feature that adds the ability to define events according to the push of a button. This enables advanced functionality such as emergency reporting or parts replenishment.

Tag Programmability and Storage:

Up to 10 messages of 10 bytes each can either be programmed into the tag. The messages can be programmed by the Tag Manager software and tools,or programmed on the fly by an AeroScout Exciter when a tag is in proximity to it. These messages can be transmitted and received wirelessly in addition to the standard location messages.

Sensor and Telemetry Capabilities:

The tags' built-in motion sensor intelligently conserves battery life and offers enhanced tracking, by enabling separate transmission intervals for tags when they are stationary or in motion. An optional built-in temperature sensor measures and delivers environmental temperature, and can trigger alerts based on reaching a configurable threshold. AeroScout Tags also include an external serial interface for data retrieval from host devices. The tags can retrieve valuable data such as fuel gauge, mileage, or pressure measurements from the host periodically, and send that data wirelessly in addition to the location messages.
